Our Stallion

- we no longer have a stallion -

Bob has been sold and on 4/7/07 left for his new  home with Jill and Larry Hannum in Ohio.

Their website is:  www.legacysministock.net

AMHA/AMHR: Angel Acres Heaven Sent (aka Bob)

Click here to see his pedigree

1995 (dna'd and permanent)  30.25" red roan medicine hat stallion with blue eyes.  His sire is Hemlock Brooks Prancing Prince. His dam is Little Kings Ebony Supreme by Little Kings Supreme.

Bob is a bit long in the back for our taste, but is an excellent mover - he has a lot of reach in his shoulder and some lift in knee and hock. He is a correct mover. Bob also has a nice length of neck, a nice neckset and a good throatlatch - these are NOT shown well in this picture.

Bob is also a downsizer (helps big mares produce foals smaller than themselves) and puts a lot of color on his foals.

Bob's 2005, 2006 and 2007 foals are tiny and correct. He produced a couple black tovero pintos, a blue roan and a bay pinto for Kay Talley (Kay's Mini Lane Farm) in 2005. In 2006 he produced a red medicine hat colt (2 blue eyes) and 2 blue roan fillies (there were more foals but we lost track of them). In 2007 he produced several foals - only ones we know about are a black pinto filly (with blue eyes) and a blue roan filly. You can see pictures of all of these on our Foals page.

You can see more photos of Bob in our Photo Gallery

As of January 2007, Bob has 11 registered AMHA offspring. All are either roans or pintos or both.

Bob has been nominated to the AMHR futurity for the 2006 breeding season - his 2007 foals will be eligible to participate in the futurity if their dam's are also nominated (by their owners) by March 1st, 2007.

---------------------------------------------------------------

As of 3/20/07 I am told that Bob already has a live 2007 foal on the ground. A small Blue Roan Pinto Filly for Kay Talley. We are expecting at least 4 more foals for him this year - alas, none to mares that we currently own.

As of 4/9/07 I know that Bob had another blue roan filly for Kay Talley - unfortunately this one did not make it out of the bag.

April 2007 -  he had a filly out of a gray mare as well. This filly looks solid black with a star, but could be a blue roan under that dark winter hair - we will see.

May 2007 he had a red pinto colt out of a black based silver dapple mare. Unfortunately he did not survive foaling.

Our 20 year old mare (problems carrying foals to term) was not in foal when checked fall 2006.
